Pal Street – Koenji’s Covered Shopping Street

The gateway to Koenji’s south side, Pal Street is a covered “shotengai” or shopping arcade full of dining, entertainment, and retail alternatives. A couple hundred meters southwest of Koenji Station, you will be greeted by merchants offering their best deals, a good variety of Japanese and international food, as well as a sample of the many vintage shops Koenji is now famous for. A walk down Pal Street will not only be entertaining but will also lead you to Etoile Dori and Look Street, two other recommended shopping and dining areas of this unique Suginami neighborhood, both also well known for their vintage clothing offerings.
