MONOZUKI

Antique Clocks Chime “Retro”
[updated August 2022]

There are at least a dozen antique pendulum clocks in this antique decor café in Nishi-Ogikubo, Tokyo’s antique shop mecca. Nowhere else would you feel the presence of clocks stronger than in here at Monozuki, but ironically nowhere else could you lose sense of time faster than in here. It’s cozy in the distinct atmosphere of various antiques and old pillars. A pink phone with a rotary dial is still in use.

The basic blended coffee (500 yen) mixes Mocha, Colombia, Brazil, and Mandheling. You’ll notice a pleasantly sour taste after a sip of coffee. That’s the Monozuki taste. If you are looking for a place to truly experience Nishi-Ogikubo, the distinctive antique collector’s paradise in Tokyo, then surely Monozuki is also the flavor of Nishi-Ogikubo as well.
