OTOKO NO BANGOHAN

Japanese Donburi Rice Bowls at American Portions

Tired of feeling unsatisfied after eating Japanese-sized portions? Then Otoko no Bangohan is for you! They serve HUGE portions and the price is right. The name “Otoko no Bangohan” literally means “Men’s Dinner”, but regardless of gender anyone with a big appetite is welcome. They serve all kinds of Japanese donburi— bowls of rice with meat and other toppings– in this case mountains of it. One of their specialties is the Stamina Yarou Don, where pork, chicken, onion, garlic, soft-boiled egg, chicken skin, and chicken cutlet are piled on rice. They also serve many other varieties of don, as well as curry and noodle dishes, even pasta. All meals come with free miso soup to be enjoyed in the retro interior with American vintage signs. An English menu is available, and you can use the pictures out front to decide. It’s easy because you can just buy the ticket from the machine outside and hand it to the staff inside– no verbal communication necessary.
