ISSHIN NIYO

Relax Over a Cup of Meticulously Made Tea at This Cozy Teahouse

Isshin Niyo Teahouse is a rather hidden gem less than 4 minutes from Nishi-Ogikubo station’s north exit. Tucked away down a little alley off the main road, it’s easy to miss but is loved by those who have experienced its charms. Isshin Niyo Teahouse offers an expansive menu of 30-40 fresh black teas and Chinese/Taiwanese teas, including some specialty oolong teas, and of course fine Japanese teas. It’s a treat to watch the expert staff prepare your choice of tea and, depending on your order, you may even be able to choose your own teacup from the shop’s collection! They also serve traditional Japanese sweets and homemade scones with a variety of jams to pair with your tea selection.

Isshin Niyo Teahouse is featured in Experience Suginami’s Nishi-Ogikubo Antique and Art Walk, a walking tour of some of our favorite stops on Nishi-Ogikubo’s north side. (Click HERE)
