Setting the Standard in Tonkatsu Ramen and Healthy Fish Ramen
The standard at Sakura is spicy tonkotsu (pork-bone broth) ramen. You can receive free miso and meat rice to add to the remaining broth when you have finished all of the noodles to make ojiya, ramen broth rice porridge.
Sea Bream Salty Ramen is also popular, particular among female customers as it is light and doesn’t carry the heaviness of typical ramen. As a lunch only special, 100 yen gyoza dumplings are available to customers who order ramen. Their soup, gyoza, chashu roasted pork and menma seasoned bamboo shoots are all homemade.
Like many establishments in the Nishi-Ogikubo area, Sakura is a community based shop with many locals who visit often, including women who seek lighter, healthier ramen. There are tables in addition to counter seats, so groups and families are welcome.
