Put the Spice Back in Your Life

Royal Spice in Minami-Asagaya offers many kinds of Asian food, particularly Indian, Nepali, Indonesian and Thai, which are well known for using many spices, giving the dishes not only a rich taste but also contrasting with the subtle flavors of Japanese cuisine. Royal Spice is a new restaurant just 1 minute from Minami-Asagaya Metro Station, and is perfect for those in Japan who are missing some spice.

The owner is a young man from Nepal who would like more Japanese people to enjoy other kinds of Asian cuisine. Each dish is made using different kinds of spices, hence the restaurant name, Royal Spice. The specialty here is Indonesian fried rice and Thai Kappao rice (stir-fried chicken served with a fried egg on rice). The taste is rich and you can add additional spice according to your preference.

Prices are also very affordable– You can order a set that includes a main dish and comes with a bowl of salad and a soft drink for just 950 yen. Drinks are usually priced around 450 yen, so set meals have great value. Mango Lassi, which is a mix of mango and yogurt drink, is a perfect pairing to cool down the spices.
