KICHI

Soba and Wine Together At Last

Kichi, located in the artistic Nishi-Ogikubo area of Tokyo, is a soba restaurant that is rather unique in that you can enjoy both hand-made buckwheat noodles (soba) paired with good wine and sake. The owner of this restaurant wishes his customers to relax and enjoy alcohol along with soba to create a more relaxing atmosphere than the typical soba restaurant. You can choose from six kinds of red and white wine and a variety of appetizers, like duck loin (800 yen) and Cheese Gaeshi Zuke (450 yen), cheese dipped in soy sauce and mirin sweet sake. These appetizers go well with any sake and wine you choose. And at the very end of your dinner you can enjoy hand-made towari soba made with 100% buckwheat flour (750 yen). The interior in the restaurant is quite original, being designed by the owner himself. For a relaxing time in a relaxing atmosphere with some of the highest quality soba for your time in Tokyo, Kichi can’t be beat.
