OKINI

Osaka Specialties Not To Miss!
[updated August 2022]

Okini is a local Asagaya restaurant in business over 30 years, offering various basic Kansai (Southwestern Japan) cuisine, particularly from Osaka, such as okonomiyaki (Japanese-style savory pancake, 580 yen) as well as fluffy takoyaki (fried balls of octopus, 330 yen for 5 pieces). This eat-in izakaya-like restaurant also has other dishes worth trying, such as a crispy squid snack “Ikayaki” for just 230 yen and they even have Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki which include pork slices, noodles and egg, also for 580 yen. The serving is quite generous at a very reasonable price. You can choose to grill the okonomiyaki on your own for a memorable Japanese experience, or have the skilled chef grill it the perfect way for you. Also available for take-out.
