CAFE BASK

Bask in the Freshness of Great Organic Food
[published October 2019]

Cafe Bask opened in May 2017 and soon became popular with diners who are looking for great quality plant-based food made from the best organic vegetables (You can tell from the salad – so fresh and delicious!). Many of their regular customers are not vegan but enjoy the range of well presented, substantial, healthy meals with robust flavours.

The lunchtime menu features the “Today’s meal platter” consisting of a main dish with rice, green salad, 3 deli dishes and soup, and the “Veggie curry platter” which comes with rice, salad, and a deli dish.

The evening menu has the “Today’s meal platter” with a main dish of your choice, 2 deli dishes, salad and rice. Alternatively you can choose a-la-carte, side and deli dishes. These may include fresh spring rolls, curry, koya tofu cutlet, falafel, fried potato and others.
There are 10 deli options that change each day according to the seasonal availability and they are listed on the chalkboard.

Don’t forget dessert, on the board you will see the day’s choices of available sweets – usually a variety of muffin and cakes.

As well as delicious coffee and tea there is a wide range of soft or alcoholic drinks including beer, a wide variety of wines, original cocktails (e.g. Mojito, Highball), whisky, gin, vodka, rum, sake etc.

Cafe Bask is located on Kampachi Dori Avenue in Ogikubo. It has a very attractive frontage and clean, pleasant, airy interior making this a great place to relax and enjoy good food and drink.  There is also an interesting outside space at the rear which is open at certain times.

Overall, Cafe Bask is a versatile establishment you can count on seven days a week! You could just have coffee and cake or a drink with bar food, a light bite or full set meal. You can also order to take away.
