KOENJI HIGH

High Level Live Performances

Koenji High opened in 2008, and since then it has been the biggest live music venue in Koenji for mostly rock music, as well as techno and other niches. The capacity is about 250 – 280 people depending on the set-up, and the lights, sound, and equipment are as professional as it gets. This is why many rather famous and well-known bands from Japan and abroad often play here. Be aware that neither photos nor smoking are allowed in the live area, the latter which is very rare in Japan but welcomed by many. There’s a full bar and sometimes food is served at special events. The live photos here show an all shoegaze rock event called “Total Feedback” – something you could only find at Koenji High.
