Bed & Art Project: Sleep Inside an Artwork!
[updated August 2022]

If you’re looking for a place to stay that is outside of the box, then “stay inside a work of art” at BnA Hotel in Koenji. This is the first of many planned art-project hotels in Koenji, with a bar and front desk on the 1st floor, one twin room on the 2nd floor and another on the 3rd floor, plus a gallery/DJ space in the basement and an outdoor rooftop lounge.

The bar offers coffee, tea, and appetizers during the day and is a full bar with alcohol at night. One of their specialties is onigiri, rice balls with various toppings/flavors. The 2nd floor twin room is “Into the Foreign” by Yohei Takahashi. The 3rd floor twin room is “Ten” by Ryuichi Ogino (Ogi). The rooms’ artists receive a share of the profits from each room booking, so by staying here you are also supporting local artists, in addition to staying in a room that is itself a work of art! The concept is to have a more meaningful experience rather than just finding a place to sleep. Both rooms include a shower, toilet, mini-fridge, a balcony, heat & A/C, and wi-fi, plus a variety of amenities.

BnA is convenient to Koenji Station and thus convenient to get to Shinjuku in 8-10 minutes, or anywhere else of interest in Tokyo, for that matter. Koenji itself is an art and music town with 200 English menu restaurants, so there are also plenty of options just out your door! If you’re an art-lover looking for a memorable experience while you stay in Tokyo, BnA Hotel in Koenji is the perfect choice for you. Make reservations on their website or on other accommodation websites.
