Yakitori Specialists Popular for Their Value
It’s been over a decade since Yakitori Yoneda opened in Nishi-Ogikubo, and the restaurant is quite popular and almost always crowded with local people and heavy drinkers. Their most remarkable feature is their value. The cheapest yakitori (skewered chicken) is 150 yen, and the most expensive one is only 260 yen. Each yakitori portion is quite large and everything is very filling. tsukune, a chicken meatball (210 yen) is highly recommended. There are four large meatballs on a skewer and they spend a lot of time (30 minutes) to grill them. As a delicious addition, you can get it with a fried egg (an additional 100 yen) for a winning combination. On warm days, it’s also a treat to eat and drink at the outdoor seats of this izakaya restaurant.
