Opened in 2008 and connected with the live music venue Koenji High next door, Amp Café is not so much a café as it is an event space. Sometimes there is live music, even workshops and discussions, but it is most commonly used as an art gallery. The “café” aspect is that there is a bar, which often functions in connection with Koenji High’s live events, but is open for drinks on occasion during gallery hours. Depending on the event, food may also be available. There are no set hours so be sure to check the website for exhibition and event schedules.
