DELI CAFE KIKU

Endless Variety at Nishi-Ogikubo’s Deli Cafe Kiku
[updated August 2022]

Near Nishi-Ogikubo’s south exit, you’ll find Deli Cafe Kiku – an English friendly cafe that’s been serving up a fresh fusion of international and Japanese flavor on their deli menu for over 10 years.  Not only is the food delicious, you can learn to make it yourself and have a taste of Kiku and your time in Japan wherever you go!

The English cooking classes are held on the third Tuesday of each month for 5,000 yen. Each lesson includes a main dish, side dish, and a dessert. All you need to participate is an apron, a small hand towel, and something to take notes with. Space is limited for both the daytime and evening class, so be sure to make reservations in advance.

If you come by for a meal, Deli Cafe Kiku has an English menu available. Set meals include your choice of a number of deli options, rice/bread, soup, and a drink. Stop by after 2pm for light meal options and dessert sets, made fresh in house featuring seasonal flavors like cherry blossom cheesecake in spring. If you are on the go, try Kiku’s take-out lunch with three deli options and rice for only 770 yen. Another popular event is the Kiku BBQ Party on the third Saturday of each month, with grilled specials such as jerk chicken and roasted marshmallows and fruit. Take-out is also available!

Whether you are joining the English cooking class, grabbing a bite to eat, or just stopping in for coffee and dessert, Deli Cafe Kiku is worth the trip!
