RECYCLE KIMONO KANNO
Beautiful, Affordable Antique Silk Kimono and Accessories
Just a minute’s walk from Nishi-Ogikubo’s north exit and a quick pass under the red torii gate for a nearby Inari Shrine, you will find Recycle Kimono Kanno. Kimono Kanno, acquired three years ago by a young local couple, is filled with brightly patterned antique silk and accessories. Looking around the shop, you can see their passion for kimono in the small details and their sensibility to current trends among those wearing antique kimono as part of their daily life in Japan today. A few great features for travelers to check out is the bargain kimono and other items for 1000 yen or less, usually located in front of their shop, and their selection of traditional and larger sized yukata available during the summer season. When you visit Kimono Kanno, also be sure to check out the sweet traditional dolls and decorative items around the store made by the shop owner’s mother, or pick up one of her beautiful handmade hair clips made from antique kimono fabric as a special souvenir.
Please note that many of the antique kimono at Recycle Kimono Kanno are very delicate, so the owners kindly request that they are handled carefully while you shop.
