In Japan there are many “manga cafes”, and though they have a large selection of manga usually they only have fountain beverages, and you have to pay by hour to borrow their computers. Poco cafe and Bar in Ogikubo, on the other hand, offers a lot more! Indulge yourself in 2000 manga comics, novels and magazines. With speedy free Wi-Fi and outlets available for charging your portable devices (they will also lend you a charger if you forget yours), you won’t realize how fast time flies here. Along with the various drinks and desserts they have here, they also serve appetizing meals for lunch and dinner. It also functions as a bar so you can even enjoy various types of alcoholic beverages such as wine, cocktails, Japanese sake and also beer. To accommodate late-night bar-goers they stay open as late as until 4am! Then they open at 11am the next day and do it all over again- a great way to spend your time.

The owner loves spending time reading comics and drinking, so he created this space where people can enjoy both. The shop has been popular with families, couples, as well as single men and women because they can do so many things in one place. Currently only Japanese manga are available, but manga fans will enjoy viewing them in the relaxing atmosphere. Or bring your own reading material, laptop, or whatever suits you!
