Quiet and Kind-hearted Residential Guest House

One standout feature of Shin-Koenji Guest House is that it accommodates only women. The guest house opened in September, 2017 and is a bit out of the way from the station, but thus it is in a quiet residential area. It is also close to Myohoji Temple, so you can fully enjoy the calmness and Japanese atmosphere. Some travelers from abroad come to this guesthouse repeatedly.  It’s a quiet place to end your day, but still has easy access to Shibuya or Shinjuku, even directly by bus departing from a nearby bus stop.

There are five dormitory rooms that accommodate up to 3 women. There is also a common area for cooking or doing laundry. The guesthouse is so comfortable and convenient that many guests stay there for a long time, and some who have stayed as long as three consecutive months!

Mr. Sangwon, the owner of the guest house, takes good care of his guests. He collects information about local coffee shops or shopping centers and translates and prints out the information in English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. He once accompanied a guest to help with contract procedures for a mobile phone. He also once kindly got in touch with the airport and railroad company for his guest who lost her passport (and her passport was recovered!). Mr. Sangwon has joined the neighborhood association and made every effort to build a mutual trusting relationship with the local people. Thanks to his incessant effort, some local people will even help a guest who looks lost find her way to the guest house. The owner, who always tries to answer all kinds of requests from his guests, is another attractive point of this local guest house.
