Quaint and Truly Japanese Style Tempura

At Kinten in Asagaya you will find very nice and authentic Japanese atmosphere, with wooden tables and counter tops cut from a single large tree, and a special tatami straw mat style Japanese room. Relaxing classical music will comfort you while you enjoy the atmosphere and the tempura made by a master. Kinten is a tempura specialty shop, so you will only find variations of their specialty. The basic yet exquisite Tendon Set is great value at lunch time for only 1,100 yen, as it includes a bowl of tempura on rice, pickled vegetables, delicious miso soup, and tofu. These are likely to vary according to the season.

*Note: Traditional style Japanese restaurants like this one are much quieter than Izakaya style or modern restaurants. Please respect the traditional Japanese atmosphere, and eat quietly with conversation at a minimum level while you take in the atmosphere and flavors.
