Situated right next to JR Asagaya Station with quick access to the Pearl Center shotengai shopping street, Star Road and Ichiban-Gai nightlife, the Beans Shopping and Dining areas under the Chuo Line tracks, Anime Street and a plethora of yakitori and other restaurants, it is no wonder Smile Hotel Asagaya is so popular among Japanese and foreign tourists alike. Comfortable rooms at reasonable rates and even a karoaoke place in the basement only add to the list (see >this walking guide< for an example of a night out on the town around the area).
The lobby is an excellent relaxation space equipped with free multilingual city guides and a microwave, should you be reach late night hunger— a 24 hour convenience store is only steps away. There are coin laundry machines, vending machines, bicycles available for free rental, and free wi-fi throughout. The restaurant on the first floor of the building is also a great option if you are tired and don’t feel like walking around, and also serves breakfast to hotel guests (additional fee, sign-up required) from 7:00am – 9:30am.

For value, location, and comfort, the Smile Hotel in Asagaya was already one of our top choices for hotels in Suginami, but with its new and improved style and comfort it will really be hard to beat, even outside of Suginami Ward in Tokyo.
