GORYOKAKU

The Ramen Taste of Hokkaido? Look No Further Than Ogikubo, Tokyo’s Ramen Capital

The owner of Goryokaku comes from Hokkaido which is known for its good vegetables and seafood, and he orders most of his ingredients from Hokkaido. The only ramen served here is salty ramen (750 yen)– the soup is clear, made from Japanese kelp and scallops– the fresh taste of Hokkaido, Japan. Additionally, the straight noodles are made by a well-established noodle maker in Hakodate, Hokkaido. You can order seasonal toppings such as asparagus in spring, ikura (salmon roe) in the fall, and funori seaweed in January and February. For dessert annin dofu, jellied apricot kernels with fruit, is very popular (200 yen). One of the popular side menu items is ikameshi, squid on rice with lots of kelp and scallops (200 yen). There are 7 seats available. Come enjoy the fresh seafood of Hokkaido and delicious salty ramen at Goryokaku on Kyokai Dori Shopping Street in Ogikubo!
