Flavorful Coffee with a Ghibli-esque Vibe

For all the Totoro and Miyazaki fans visiting Tokyo, you can experience a Ghibli-esque cafe in Koenji on Koshin-dori Street. At Coral (Coffee コーラル), you are welcomed by a friendly woman and her great coffee-making skills. The experience here includes a variety of international blends brewed in what appears to be a very old chemistry set, an appetizing Japanese-style café food menu, and a handful of regular and interesting visitors from around the neighborhood who will make you feel as if you have just stepped into one of Studio Ghibli’s classics. The Colombian blend is one of the highlights, and if you are feeling hungry and curious, the hot pancakes and the creamy Mocha are quite the treat. As a bonus, an English menu with a short introduction to Koenji’s history is also available.
